Walk in Faith

For we walk by faith, not by sight. [2Cor 5:7. – nkjv]

You know, sometimes older is just, …better. I really think this verse from the New King James Version of the the Holy Bible should be engraved in the heart and mind of every Christian. If it were; and, if we paid attention to it, our Christian walk would not have near as many bumps, pot-holes or outright detours.

Far too often we look at ourselves in these earthly bodies, and see weak humans, not up to the task confronting us. So, our natural response is to look for the easiest solution. If we look long enough we will find it… “The Quick and Easy Way!” Note: this plan likely should come with the following warning: “Provided for your use by Satan and Associates. We stand ready to assist with your unforeseen consequences.”

Have you ever considered that when you look at yourself in the mirror you are missing the best part of who you are. As Christians we are much, MUCH more than our human bodies. When we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit moved into us. God lives in us.

So, let me ask you two questions. Just how much “room” and “attention” are you giving the Holy Spirit? And…. How big a task, or problem, is too big for God?

As you step-out in faith, following God’s plan – which is seldom the easy way – you allow God to show you just how much you and He can truly accomplish. But, be sure to remember that’s “little you”, with your “BIG GOD”. God’s Spirit within you can empower you to live far beyond your natural abilities. Give God the Glory He deserves.

When, through faith you walk close to God, you are walking in His will (purpose) for you.

Father, I never cease to be amazed at the perfection of your gift of salvation and restoration. Lord, I understand there is literally no way I can even begin to even the score. It’s ridiculous on many levels, to even try. What I can do, is trust in you. Lord, please do not let me waiver in my trust of you. For without you I am truly lost. I want to forever be in your presence, with my will surrendered to yours. In Jesus name I pray, Amen..
